Terra Furniture Announces Additions to the Chelsea Line From Designer Joe Ruggiero

City of Industry, CA – Terra Furniture, with private and commercial installations worldwide, continues to expand the Chelsea line in response to extraordinarily positive customer reaction to the new design introduced first at the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue EXPO in Anaheim, California last spring. It was also shown at the West Coast Casual Furniture Pre-Market in July and again at the traditional Chicago Casual Market in September.

"So many of our dealers and designers who see this design indicate they want more seating and tables for their clients," says Terra President Ken Burrows, "that we are rolling this line out even more quickly than originally planned. What a wonderful response!"

The bamboo styling is reminiscent of Chippendale or English country gardens, but designers are ordering it to be used indoors, as well.

The original 60" octagon dining table and arm chairs are being joined by a lounge chair and ottoman, sofa,, adjustable chaise, 25" x 25" and 30" x 30"cornertables, barstool, table lamp, and a 30" x 60"coffee table. All chairs come with thick seat cushions and backs covered in durable Sunbrella fabrics including those of Ruggiero’s design.

Terra and Joe Ruggiero, host of HDTV’s "Homes Across America" teamed up only a little more than a year ago to confer on several designs. Chelsea is only the first to get to market. Ruggiero is one of the most well known designers in the home furnishings and home fabrics industry, but may be most noted for bringing the subject of home design to network and cable television. Over 10 years, he has produced four television series for Home & Garden Television (HGTV): The Best of American Design, Rooms for Improvement, Homes Across America, and The Best of World Design.

Recognized as the developer of the "Idea House" concept, Joe edited and hosted The Living Magazine for The Lifetime cable network, joined This Old House as the Interior Designer for many of the houses and, later, served as Design Correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America. As Editor In Chief and Publishing Director Home Magazine, Joe made appearances on Oprah and Regis & Kathie Lee, then produced and designed a new design series for The Home Show, a weekly program in which he remodeled three homes for every episode for a two-year period.
